Cindy Farquhar
Area of expertise: endometriosis Professor Farquhar is the postgraduate professor of obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Obstetrics is the care of women during pregnancy and childbirth and gynaecology covers conditions which affect women and the reproductive system. She cares for patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome, pelvic pain, endometriosis and the management of abnormal bleeding from the womb. She is actively involved in research and has a special interest in subfertility and menstrual disorders. She is a coordinating editor for the Cochrane Menstrual Disorders and Subfertility Group, which collects and analyses research to help doctors put research into practice.
